Effective date: September 29, 2026
RemoteTake (“RemoteTake”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a mobile application that allows users to connect two Android devices so that one device can operate as a Camera Phone and the other as a Controller Phone.
This Privacy Policy explains how RemoteTake accesses, uses, stores, and transfers information when you use the App.

App: RemoteTake
RemoteTake is designed to operate primarily on your own devices and local network. RemoteTake does not currently operate a cloud backend for user accounts, media storage, analytics, or remote media processing.
1. Information RemoteTake Does Not Collect on Our Servers
RemoteTake currently does not operate a RemoteTake-controlled backend server and does not upload your recordings, camera feed, microphone recordings, scripts, or other creator content to RemoteTake servers.
We do not currently collect or store on our servers:
- your recorded videos;
- your camera preview;
- your microphone recordings;
- your teleprompter scripts;
- your scenes or take information;
- your photographs or media library;
- your contacts;
- your precise location;
- your browsing history;
- advertising identifiers;
- passwords;
- payment card details; or
- RemoteTake user-account credentials.
RemoteTake does not currently require you to create a RemoteTake account.
2. Camera Access
RemoteTake requests access to your device camera in order to provide its core filming features.
Camera access may be used to:
- display the Camera Phone preview;
- record videos;
- provide a remote preview to the paired Controller Phone;
- switch between available cameras;
- perform zoom and focus operations;
- display framing guides and safe zones; and
- support other camera-related functions that you intentionally use.
Camera frames may be transmitted directly between your paired devices over your local network while RemoteTake is in use.
RemoteTake does not upload your camera feed to RemoteTake-controlled cloud servers.
Your master video recording is stored locally on the Camera Phone using Android's media-storage facilities unless you intentionally move, share, or delete it.
3. Microphone Access
RemoteTake may request microphone permission to record audio with video.
Depending on the features you use, audio may be captured from:
Camera Phone Microphone
The Camera Phone microphone may be used to record audio with your video.
Controller Phone Microphone
If you choose the Controller Mic feature, the Controller Phone may record audio locally because it may be physically closer to you than the Camera Phone.
Controller Mic audio may then be transferred directly to the Camera Phone through the authenticated local RemoteTake connection for synchronization or use with the recorded take.
RemoteTake does not upload microphone recordings to RemoteTake-controlled cloud servers.
Microphone access occurs only for functions that require audio recording and is subject to Android's permission controls.
4. Local Network Access
RemoteTake uses your local network to allow the Camera Phone and Controller Phone to discover and communicate with each other.
Depending on your Android version, RemoteTake may request permission to access devices on your local network.
This access is used for functions such as:
- discovering a nearby RemoteTake Camera Phone;
- pairing the Camera Phone and Controller Phone;
- transmitting remote-control commands;
- transmitting the live camera preview;
- transmitting recording state and camera information;
- transferring Controller Mic audio where applicable; and
- reconnecting previously paired devices.
RemoteTake does not use local-network access to scan unrelated content on other devices.
The App may process technical network information such as local IP addresses, ports, service-discovery information, and connection state as necessary to establish and maintain the device-to-device connection.
This information is processed locally and is not uploaded to RemoteTake-controlled servers.
5. Pairing Information
RemoteTake uses pairing mechanisms to connect the Camera Phone and Controller Phone.
Pairing may involve:
- a temporary pairing code;
- device identity information;
- local service-discovery information;
- cryptographic certificate information;
- trusted-device information; and
- session identifiers.
Pairing information is used only to establish and maintain the RemoteTake connection and to help prevent unauthorized nearby devices from controlling your Camera Phone.
Short pairing codes are intended to be temporary and are not used as permanent passwords.
Trusted-device and pairing metadata may be stored locally on your device so that reconnecting previously paired devices is easier.
You may remove locally stored pairing information by using any available Forget Device function, clearing RemoteTake's app data, or uninstalling the App.
6. Encryption and Connection Security
RemoteTake uses encrypted connections between paired devices where supported by the App's networking architecture.
Device-to-device RemoteTake communication uses TLS and authenticated pairing mechanisms intended to protect camera-control commands and media transmitted between paired devices on the local network.
However, no software or communication method can guarantee absolute security.
You should use RemoteTake on networks that you trust and keep your Android devices, operating system, and RemoteTake installation up to date.
7. Videos, Audio, Scripts, Scenes and Takes
Content that you create with RemoteTake may include:
- videos;
- audio;
- teleprompter scripts;
- scenes;
- take metadata;
- creator settings;
- framing preferences; and
- other shooting-session information.
Such information is primarily stored locally on your Android device.
RemoteTake does not currently synchronize this content to a RemoteTake cloud service.
Your media remains under your control unless you choose to share, export, transfer, or otherwise disclose it using Android or another application.
8. Local App Data
RemoteTake may store information locally on your device to provide and remember application functionality.
Examples may include:
- selected Camera or Controller role;
- onboarding completion;
- app preferences;
- framing preferences;
- teleprompter preferences;
- pairing information;
- trusted-device information;
- scenes;
- take metadata;
- creator workflow information;
- subscription-entitlement cache; and
- other settings required for app operation.
This information remains on the device unless a feature specifically transfers it to the paired RemoteTake device.
Clearing RemoteTake's app data or uninstalling the App may remove some or all locally stored application information.
Recorded media stored through Android's shared media storage may not necessarily be deleted when the App itself is uninstalled.
9. Google Play Billing and RemoteTake Pro
RemoteTake may offer paid features through RemoteTake Pro, including subscriptions and free-trial offers managed by Google Play.
Payments are processed by Google Play, not directly by RemoteTake.
RemoteTake does not receive or store your full payment-card information.
Google Play may process information relating to:
- your Google Play account;
- payment methods;
- purchases;
- subscription status;
- trial eligibility;
- transaction information; and
- device information
according to Google's own terms and privacy policies.
RemoteTake may receive purchase and subscription information from the Google Play Billing service on your device, such as:
- whether a RemoteTake Pro subscription is active;
- purchase state;
- subscription entitlement status;
- product identifiers; and
- purchase-related identifiers required by Google Play Billing.
RemoteTake uses this information only to determine whether Pro features should be available.
RemoteTake does not currently send Google Play purchase tokens to a RemoteTake-controlled backend server.
Subscription billing, renewal, cancellation, and free-trial eligibility are managed through Google Play.
10. Pro Access Between Paired Devices
Because RemoteTake is designed to use two devices together, a paired RemoteTake session may communicate whether one of the paired devices currently has Pro access.
This allows Pro capabilities to operate across the active Camera/Controller session without requiring the user to purchase the same subscription separately on both devices.
RemoteTake does not transmit your payment information, Google account details, payment-card information, or full Google Play purchase credentials to the paired device.
Any Pro access shared between paired devices is intended to apply only to the active RemoteTake session and does not permanently transfer ownership of a subscription to another Google account or device.
11. Google and Third-Party Services
RemoteTake currently relies on certain Android and Google services required for distribution and application functionality.
These may include:
Google Play
Used to distribute RemoteTake, deliver updates, and provide related Play services.
Google Play Billing
Used for RemoteTake Pro subscriptions and purchase verification on the device.
Google may independently collect and process information under Google's Privacy Policy and applicable Google Play terms.
RemoteTake does not control Google's independent data-processing practices.
12. Advertising
As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, RemoteTake does not contain third-party advertising SDKs and does not display advertisements.
RemoteTake also does not currently use user information for targeted advertising.
If advertisements, including rewarded advertisements, are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety disclosures will be updated before or when that functionality is released.
13. Analytics and Tracking
RemoteTake currently does not use third-party behavioral analytics or advertising-tracking SDKs to build user profiles or track users across unrelated applications or websites.
We do not currently use RemoteTake to sell behavioral profiles or advertising audiences.
If analytics services are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
14. Diagnostics and Error Information
RemoteTake may generate technical diagnostic information locally to help diagnose issues with:
- camera operation;
- network connectivity;
- device pairing;
- preview streaming;
- recording;
- performance; and
- application errors.
Diagnostic information may include information such as:
- device model;
- Android version;
- camera capabilities;
- connection status;
- application state;
- technical error messages; and
- performance measurements.
Diagnostic information is not automatically uploaded to a RemoteTake-controlled server.
If you voluntarily send diagnostic logs to us for support, the information you submit will be used to investigate and respond to your issue.
You should review any diagnostic file before sharing it if you are concerned about information contained within it.
15. Support Communications
If you contact us by email or another support channel, we may receive information that you voluntarily provide, such as:
- your email address;
- your name, if included;
- device or app information;
- screenshots;
- diagnostic logs;
- problem descriptions; and
- other information included in your message.
We use such information only for purposes such as:
- answering your request;
- providing technical support;
- investigating bugs;
- improving RemoteTake; and
- preventing abuse.
Support communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, maintain support records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
16. Data Sharing
RemoteTake does not sell your personal information.
RemoteTake does not currently operate a cloud service that receives your Camera Phone recordings or Controller Phone camera preview.
Information may be disclosed only in limited circumstances, such as:
At Your Direction
When you intentionally:
- connect another device;
- share a recording;
- export media;
- send a diagnostic file;
- contact support; or
- use Android's sharing features.
Google Play and Platform Providers
Google and Android platform services may process data independently when providing functions such as app distribution, subscription billing, security, and operating-system services.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information that we actually possess if required to do so by applicable law, legal process, court order, or valid government request.
Because RemoteTake does not operate a general-purpose user-data backend, in many cases we do not possess users' local recordings or app content and therefore cannot provide data that we do not have.
17. Data Retention
RemoteTake's primary creator content is stored locally rather than on RemoteTake servers.
Local recordings
Remain on your device until you delete them through RemoteTake, Android, a gallery/media application, or another available mechanism.
Local settings and metadata
May remain until you:
- delete them through the App where such controls are available;
- clear RemoteTake's app storage; or
- uninstall RemoteTake.
Pairing information
May remain locally until you forget the paired device, clear application data, or uninstall the App.
Subscription information
Google Play retains payment and subscription records according to Google's applicable policies.
Support communications
Information you voluntarily send to us may be retained as reasonably necessary to provide support and maintain appropriate records.
18. Data Deletion
RemoteTake does not currently create RemoteTake user accounts or maintain a central cloud profile containing your creator content.
You can remove locally stored RemoteTake information by:
- deleting individual recordings or takes where available;
- using any available device-forgetting controls;
- clearing RemoteTake's application data through Android Settings; or
- uninstalling the App.
Media saved outside RemoteTake's private app storage may need to be deleted separately from your device's gallery or media-management application.
For subscription-related records, cancellation or management should be performed through your Google Play subscription settings.
Google may retain transaction records as required by its policies or applicable law.
If you have voluntarily sent us information through a support request and want to request its deletion, contact:
ahmadsalman145@mgil.com
We will consider and process valid requests in accordance with applicable law and any legal obligations that require retention.
19. Permissions
Depending on your Android version, device, and features used, RemoteTake may request Android permissions including:
Camera
Required to preview and record video.
Microphone
Required when recording audio or using Controller Mic.
Local Network / Nearby Network Access
Required on applicable Android versions so paired devices can discover and communicate with one another.
Other Android system capabilities may be used where necessary for core functions such as saving media, keeping the display active during shooting, connecting devices, or operating application services.
RemoteTake requests permissions for functionality provided by the App and does not intentionally use permissions for unrelated purposes.
You can review or revoke permissions at any time through Android Settings, although doing so may prevent the associated RemoteTake feature from working.
20. Location
RemoteTake does not require your GPS or precise geographic location to provide its core camera-control functionality.
Local-network discovery may involve Android networking APIs, Wi-Fi information, or permissions that Android associates with nearby-device or network functionality.
RemoteTake does not use such access to build a history of your physical location or upload your precise location to RemoteTake servers.
21. Children's Privacy
RemoteTake is intended as a creator and camera utility and is not specifically directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly operate a RemoteTake cloud service for collecting personal information from children.
If you believe that a child has directly provided personal information to us through a support communication, please contact us at:
ahmadsalman145@gmail.com
22. Your Privacy Choices
You control much of RemoteTake's access through Android permissions and application settings.
You may:
- deny Camera permission;
- deny Microphone permission;
- deny Local Network access where supported;
- forget paired devices;
- delete recorded media;
- clear application data;
- uninstall the App;
- cancel or manage RemoteTake Pro through Google Play; and
- decline to send diagnostic information to us.
Some features will not function if the permissions required for those features are disabled.
23. Security
We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to the App's architecture, including local storage controls, Android platform protections, authenticated device pairing, and encrypted device-to-device communication.
Nevertheless, no application, device, network, encryption system, or storage mechanism can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for protecting:
- access to your Android devices;
- your Google account;
- your local Wi-Fi/network environment; and
- media that you export or share outside RemoteTake.
24. International Users
RemoteTake may be available in multiple countries.
Where privacy laws grant you particular rights concerning information we possess, you may contact us using the privacy contact listed below.
Because RemoteTake currently does not maintain a central backend containing your recordings or creator profile, many types of application data exist only on your own device and cannot be accessed or deleted remotely by us.
25. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as RemoteTake evolves, including when we introduce new features, third-party services, advertising, analytics, cloud functionality, or changes required by law or Google Play policies.
When this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL and the Effective date above will be revised.
Material changes may also be communicated through the App where appropriate.
We encourage users to periodically review this Privacy Policy.
